HISTORY

Our story dates back to 2015 when we started our work.

Our history dates back to 2015, founded on the premise of a deep urge to address issues that affects women Negatively, to see women achieve heights they ordinarily don’t look up to and with focus on young women and women living with disabilities.

At women for greater good foundation (wggf) we are keen to an all-round development of every women. This non-profitable foundation is founded in 2015 to birth a new generation of reformed women. We advocate the rights of women/girls and more intentionally support women living with disabilities to live a fulfilled life.as our name implies, we give all necessary support and mentorship for women/girls to win through the society.

We want to be the change

We want women to be in leadership participate in government systems, have decent livelihood, income security, economic economy and live free from violence.

With our dedicated team of members, mentors and volunteers, we conduct seminars, conferences, camp meetings, gatherings, conventions, outreach, trainings for girls and women.

We also provide scholarships, mentorships, guidance and address issues related to lack of access, low levels of awareness and importance of education.

MISSION

WGGF is a strong independent female body, whose existence is to raise great minded women who will be agents of transformation in Nigeria and the world at large. to bring women/girls to the realization of their potentials and provide aid for them to become and achieve their dreams and goals, To help, empower and encourage every woman or girl who is physically, mentally, financially and emotionally challenged.

VISION

We envision a society where women are recognized as relevant and important personalities. A society where women are not afraid to speak up, be brave and take risks to pursue their own path of success. We envision a society where women can fully develop their potentials, and a society where the government and  leadership systematically support women to be in positions that are normally occupied by men

Empowering low income women to run a successful business.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

To uplift the socio-economic conditions of low-income women through establishment of permanent centers for training, assisting them in income generating activities, through vocational trainings and seminars.

To reach out through the women development foundation welfare packages, such as food, clothes, shoes, scholarships, medical checks and basic needs periodically.

To conduct seminars, conferences, camp meetings, gathering, conventions outreaches, trainings for children, youths and women

To facilitate adequate care and support for women living with disabilities.

To provide legal aid to women, young girls and other vulnerable groups through legal awareness, education, counseling and providing legal assistance to widows involved in inheritance and child guardianship disputes and victims of human rights violation and denial.

To advocate and support more women participation in leadership.

Our amazing team members

Fatima Titilayo Hassan

Founder

Fatima Titilayo Hassan is a staunch advocate for women development, A social worker, Philanthropist and established Entrepreneur.
She earned a B.A Education (English) from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University Ile – Ife as
her first degree and M.Ed (Masters in language Education) from the prestigious University of Ibadan.
She was an active student unionist during her university days and took up leadership roles.
Having served in Oyo State Government as a special Adviser to the Governor, she has vast experience about Governance.
An advocate for women to be in leadership especially
young women. She founded the Women for greater Good Foundation as a non Governmental
Organisation in 2015, for a new generation of reformed women.

Yewande Bisiolu

Head of Project

Yewande Bisiolu is a lawyer and a graduate of Igbinedion University. She is currently working with the Chams Plc Group, an identity management and
financial technology management organisation.
Prior to now, she has worked with Wootlab
Innovations Limited, an Information and Technology Company as a Business Development Associate. She
has also had a work stint with in the Humanitarian space while working as an Executive Assistant to the Government Partnerships Officer of the United Nations World Food Programme (Nigerian Country Office).
Yewande volunteers for a number of NGOs that are focused on the eradication/maximum reduction of Sexual and Gender based violence, women political and financial empowerment. When she is not working, she enjoys taking language courses or seeing a movie or hanging out with friends.

Ololade Faniyi

Head of Volunteers

Ololade Faniyi is a feminist activist-scholar with interests in African feminisms, feminist social movements, and women’s political communication.

Her collaborative work has been published in the top international journal, Women’s Studies Quarterly, and
she was chief editor of the graduate journal of African studies, KUJUA.

She has worked in Nigeria with community-driven
collectives on feminist politics and anti-rape
interventions. She is currently an African regional advisor of FRIDA, The Young Feminist Fund. Ololade holds an MA in African and Gender Studies from the
University of Ibadan and studied for a degree in American Culture Studies at Bowling Green State
University, Ohio.
