ABOUT US

At Women for Greater Good Foundation (WGGF), we are focused on all-round development of every woman. We are a registered non-governmental, non-political and non-profit making organization. WGGF was founded in 2015 to birth a new generation of reformed women. We advocate the rights of women/girls and more intentionally support women living with disabilities to live a fulfilled life. As our name implies, we give all necessary support and mentorship for women/girls to win through the society.

Our Vision

We envision a society where women are recognized as relevant and important personalities. A society where women are not afraid to speak up, be brave and take risks to pursue their own paths of success. We envision a society where women can fully develop their potentials, and a society where the government and leadership systematically support women to be in positions that are normally occupied by men.

Our Mission

Wggf is a strong independent female body, whose existence is to raise great-minded women who will be agents of transformation in Nigeria and the world at large. To bring women/girls to the realization of their potentials and provide aid for them to become and achieve their dreams and goals. To help, empower and encourage every woman or girl who is physically, mentally, financially and emotionally challenged.

Lift women above poverty by assisting to develop personal businesses and decent livelihood.
Performance of significant roles by women.
Freedom from oppression, destabilization and stigma.
Equality amongst men and women in the society.
Encourage participation of women in politics, leadership, governance and other relevant positions.

Social, physical, emotional and financial stability for women/girls.
Women’s acknowledgment of their great potential and its development.
Societal support for women to attain their goals.

Leadership Training For Young Women

The Women for Greater Good Foundation holds a series of peer education and leadership training sessions for young women to improve the effectiveness of communication.

A Walk For Our Lives

The second Walk for Change Advocacy event was held in 2018, during a disturbing trend of rape in the country. Through the platform of Walk for Change, the organization raised its voice against the perpetrators of rape in the country.

The Young Women in Politics Advocacy Rally

In line with the organization’s objectives to support women in attaining leadership positions and participating in governance, an advocacy rally encouraging more young women to participate in politics was carried out in 2018, a year preceding an election in Nigeria. The advocacy was also taken to the grassroots, sensitizing market women as well.

July, 2021

Female Roundtable 1.0

The first edition of the Female Roundtable event took place on the 2nd of July, 2021. The theme of discussion was “A Woman Winning Through Life: Confidence, Leadership and Growth.” This theme is a tripartite of important components necessary for a woman to win at life.

Widows Outreach

In our pursuit to raise and empower strong women, who will continue to play their roles in the development of our country Nigeria, we provided business and life support services to a few widows who are the breadwinners of their families. We empowered five widows with the sum of N50,000 each to support their businesses.

The Female Roundtable Event 2.0

The second edition of the Female Round Table focused on all that is involved in being a Nigerian woman in the 21st century. It was a platform for women from different parts of Nigeria to come together, interact, share experiences, connect, lift each other beyond the heavy presence of patriarchy in Nigeria.

The Flow With Dignity School Tour Outreach

The Flow with Dignity School Tour symbolizes hope, compassion, and the belief in a brighter future for girls. We provided essential sanitary pads to underprivileged girls, empowering them to manage their menstrual health with dignity and confidence.

November, 2023

Female Roundtable 3.0

The third edition of the Female Roundtable event took place on the 16th of November, 2023, at Koltol Event Center, Ikolaba, Ibadan. The theme for the year was “The Thriving Woman: Experiences Before and Behind Glitz and Glamour.”

July, 2024

Moremi TechDev

The program, tagged MoremiTechDev, runs for 3 months for each cohort. Orientation for the first cohort was held on Saturday, July 13th, 2024, at Leaders Hub, No. 18 Dejo Oyelese Street, off Adeyi Avenue, Old Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo State. Thirty young women are being empowered during the 12-week program, with a target of reaching 3,000 ladies in the next 3 years of operation.

The Flow With Dignity School Tour Outreach II

The Flow with Dignity School Tour Season 2 successfully achieved its objectives, providing essential education, resources, and empowerment to young girls in the Oyo South Senatorial District. The impact of the tour is evident in the increased knowledge, confidence, and overall well-being of the participants.
